Story

The origin story

It all began on Sunday, November 26, 2023, when a spontaneous invitation led to the very first cold swim in Lac Léman. Today, the weekly ritual is a shared moment of calm, connection, and joy that goes well beyond the plunge.

How it started

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, Georges took his first cold swim in the lake with Alastair, with water around 11°C. Even though he was very sensitive to cold at the time, he felt peaceful: no stress, no fear, just presence and pure pleasure.

It all started with a simple line: "Hey Alastair, wanna come for a swim next Sunday?" Two years later, the ritual is still alive: same place, same time, and yet never the same Sunday.

Georges and Alastair now co-organize every Sunday, bringing a steady presence and a shared invitation to everyone who wants to discover the practice.

More than a cold swim

On the deck, it was never only about water temperature. It was about deep conversations, real human connection, spontaneous dances, shared joy, and meaningful encounters.

Every Sunday became a grounding point: a physical practice and a relational practice. That is why The Cold Club is positioned as a community and lifestyle concept, not only as a sport session.
